Welcoming the spring, saying goodbye to my "zing"

Spring has finally arrived in our city, which means Mace and I have begun sitting on the brown grass outside of our house each afternoon, taking in the sun and watching all the older kids play in the cul-de-sac. Of course I'm now the proud holder of the "Creepiest Neighbor on the Block" title (formerly held by Stan "Morning Salute" Johnson), but whatev. You do what you have to do, right?

I'm at about the half-way mark to fully weaning Mason, and am starting to enjoy some of the perks that go along with it (welcome back, mid-and-late-afternoon wine breaks! Oh how I've missed you ...). This morning I experienced another: finally wearing a non-nursing or maternity bra. Its been over 1.5 years so this was a momentous occasion in the Coulter household. After carefully inspecting my new, more-svelte  figure I proudly walked downstairs to Jamie and Mason playing on the floor:

"See anything different? Ok, you probably can't but I--"
"Your boobs"
"Oh. Really? That was fast. Ok, good guess!"
"They're smaller"
"Uh ... yup. I'm not wearing my nursing bra anymore. Don't you think it makes me look thinner, though?"
"I like big boobs"
"Oh"

And there's goes my "zing" ... and my husband's chance of getting any action for a while.
